Hairspray

hairspray is a movie about a girl Named Tracy Turnblad (Nikki Blonsky) who loves a show called "The Corny Collins Show" and is her dream to dance on the show. Along with her best friend Penny, (Amanda Bynes) they both love the Corny Collins Show. Tracy lives with her father, and her mother Edna, (John Travolta) who hasn't left the house since 1951. (This is all 1963) But the station's manager, Velma Von Tussle (Michelle Pfeiffer) does not like the idea of Tracy being on the show when she makes it and says, "I wish everyday were Negro Day." (Negro day is when every station has black people on TV on the last Tuesday of every month.) But when Negro Day gets cancelled, Tracy steps out and makes a difference in life. She goes out and protests with her friends Seeweed, Little Inez, Motormouth Maybelle, (Queen Latifah) and the other blacks in Baltimore. When she is chosen for a canidate in the Ms. Teenage Hairspray, Amber (Brittnay Snow) and Tracy have a show-off. But when Little Inez wins, they have no choice but to miz blacks with whites on the Corny Collins Show. But, Tracy won Teenage Heartthrob Link Larkin (Zac Efron) as her boyfriend. And Penny wins Seeweed's heart. (aka, they start dating, if you wanna say it the BORING way)
